was/were+ding
（1）表示在过去某一时刻或某一时间段正在进行的动作。常见的时间状语有：at 3 'lck yesterday afternn, in thse days, at that time, at this time yesterday等。
I was sleeping at that time.
We were watching TV frm seven t nine last night.
（2）表示过去一个动作发生时，另一个动作正在进行，持续时间长的动作用过去进行时。
When yu called, I was having a shwer.
When the class started, Bb was still making his way t schl.
（3）表示两个同时进行的持续动作，主从句都用过去进行时。
I was reading newspapers while Susan was playing cmputer games.
While Linda was sleeping, Jenny was helping Mary with her hmewrk.
（1）肯定句：主语 + was/were + ding + 其他
The sun was rising at the time f five.
My friend was waiting fr me.
（2）否定句：主语 + was/were + nt + ding + 其他
He wasn't wrking at that time.
I wasn't ding my hmewrk at the time f five.
（3）一般疑问句：Was/Were + 主语 + ding + 其他？
Were yu reading at this time yesterday?
答语：Yes，主语 + was/were. Yes, I was. N，主语 + was/were + nt. N, I wasn't
（4）特殊疑问句：What + was/were + 主语 + ding + 其他？
What was Ben ding when it began t rain heavily?
What were yu ding at the time f rainstrm?
