Teaching aims：　

１、To learn the words, phrases and sentences:

everyone , glasses/ come from/ I come from Nanjing. I live with my family in Beijing. I wear glasses .

２、To learn how to write a composition using the new words, phrases and sentences.

To learn how to introduce oneself to others.

３、To know each other by introducing oneself.   

Teaching important and difficult points:

To learn how to use the new structure to introduce oneself to others.

Teaching procedures :

Step 1 Daily report

One of the Ss give a speech about herself.(topic)

Step 2 Revision

1. Ss look at the picture of some Ss, have Ss say something about them.
2. Riddles: T describles one S, have Ss guess who is he/ her. (3-4)

Step 3 . Lead –in

T : Do you remember our new friend Daniel ? How much do you know about Daniel ?

S: He is short . He is good at Maths . He is in Class 1 , Grade 7. He is at Sunshine Middle School . He is from Nanjing .

T: Very good . Then does he have good eyesight ? S: No.

T: He has poor eyesight . He wears glasses .(present new word)

T: Daniel is so cute so everyone likes him .

Step4 Learning the Sample in Part A

2. Have Ss read after the tape . Try to classify the information:

Paragraph One: General information, such as name, age, birthplace, family and so on .

Paragraph Four: Friends .

3. Please read the article again. I want Ss to underline some language points .
