教学步骤
I. Warming-up and revisin
1. Listen t the birthday sng, get the Ss t sing tgether.
2. Divide the class int Grup A and B. Draw tw fishes n the blackbard as their symbls, tell the students that each time they answer questins right, they can get ne r mre pints fr their grup and draw ne r mre bubbles arund their fish, at the end f the class, the grup which gets mre bubbles will be the winner tday. Say, “One, tw, three!” Get the whle class sit straight, thus annunce the beginning f the cmpetitin.
3. Review the unit 7. Shw sme key sentences in Chinese n the screen, have students translate them int English, get a student frm each grup t cme t the frnt and write dwn their answers n the blackbard, then check the answers, each crrect sentence will earn a pint fr the grup.
II. Presentatin
Teacher says: , “When is my birthday? My birthday is March 12th.” Get the students t answer, “My birthday is …” Then teacher says, “It’s a gd / nice answer. I like yur answer.”
On the screen shw There are 12 mnths in a year. They are January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, Octber, Nvember and December.
Shw the questin “When is yur birthday?” Underline “when”, tell the students that it means “what time …”.
III. Listening drills (1)
D Sectin A, 1b, listen and number the cnversatins (1-3).
Shw the picture n page 1 n the screen with n wrds n it. Get student t listen t the tape and try t repeat the sentences in the cnversatins, each crrect sentence will earn a pint fr the grup.
IV. Pair-wrk.
Get the students listen t the cnversatins again and repeat after the tape, then wrk in grups, practice the cnversatins with the partners.
Have sme students cme t the frnt and shw their wn cnversatin, then make a cmment n it (praise the students first) and give 2 t 4 pints t their grup.
V. Listening drills (2)

D Sectin A, 2b.Listen and circle the numbers yu hear in 2a.
D Sectin A, 2c. Listen again, match the names ,mnths and dates.
Listen fr the last time.
VI. Hmewrk
1. Listen and read after the tape fr thirty minutes.
2. Recite the cnversatin f Sectin A, 2d.
3. Write dwn the Chinese meaning f the new wrds and key sentences, then translate them int English.
