【Teaching Steps】
Step 1: Review
(1)Review the wrds. Ask, “What is it ?” and have children respnd, “It’s a dg.”
(2)Repeat fr all the wrds f animals.
Step 2: Preview
(1)Use the flashcards t present the new vcabulary.
(2)Hld up the flashcard fr square and have children lk at it. Pint t the square and say, “It’s a square.” Present the wrd, square. Mdel the wrd at least twice. Nw have children repeat after yu in a chral drill. Then pint t the shape and elicit the wrd frm individual children.
(3)Repeat the step abve and present the new vcabulary: circle, triangle, rectangle, star, and heart.
(4)Review the six new wrds by hlding up different shapes and eliciting the wrd frm the children in a chral drill, and then frm individuals.
Step 3: Mdel the dialg
(1)Pin up the Pster fr this Unit where all the children can see it. Allw a few minutes fr the children t lk at it.
(2)Using the ckies n the pster t present the ther new structures: It’s a square, It’s a circle, It’s a triangle.
Step 4: Talk abut the stry
(1)Have the children pen their bks at pages 10. Have the class lk at the picture as yu play the tape.
(2)Play the tape again and have the children repeat the wrds.
Step 5: Stry
(1)Play the tape and have the children lk at the pictures as they listen.
(2)Play the tape again, pausing at each picture. Have the children repeat the wrds each time.
Step 6: Set hmewrk
(1)Ask the children t remember the wrds and practice the sentences.
【课后小结】
本课的单词为形状类,而且发音较难,可以指出新单词中发音与原来所学单词相同,学生接受的会更快一些,例如:circle中的/ir/与bird中的/ir/发音相同。
