Anther Harvard student, having suffered a spts-related head injury, apprached a campus psychiatrist and was prescribed 20 mg f Adderall. Within weeks, he was taking as much as 200 mg a day (ten times the standard dse). He sn drpped ut f schl. After that, it was drink, hard drugs and yet mre Adderall. Having gne thrugh rehab (戒瘾康复), he’s nw back at Harvard — five years lder than his peers — and determined t get his degree.
One thing yu can d after getting a prescriptin is “sell it t yur friends wh haven’t been s well trained in the theatre t get themselves a diagnsis”, an Ivy League undergraduate explains. “Yu make sme mney and have mre fun and everyne benefits.” Many students think Adderall helps them fcus, still and finish their wrk. Psychiatrist Dr. Allen Frances, wh helped shape the American Psychiatric Assciatin’s definitin f ADHD in the 1990s, says that while Adderall can be helpful in certain circumstances, with many patients, the clinically apprpriate thing t tell them is “there’s nt a lt wrng with yu, just get n with yur life”.

With their tiny brains and excellent ability t memrize nectar lcatins, hneybees are a favrite mdel rganism fr studying learning and memry. Such research has indicated that t frm lng-term memries—nes that last a day r mre—the insects need t repeat a training experience at least three times. By cntrast, shrt-and mid-term memries that last secnds t minutes and minutes t hurs, respectively, need nly a single learning experience.
Exceptins t this rule have been bserved, hwever. Fr example, in sme studies, bees frmed lng-lasting memries after a single learning event. But the anmalus findings, tgether with research shwing that fruit flies and ants can frm lng-term memries after single experiences, arused Giurfa’s curisity. Was it pssible that hneybees culd reliably d the same? Giurfa reasned that the ability t frm lng-term memries might depend n the particular type f bee and the experience. Within a hneybee clny, there are nurses, wh clean the hive and feed the yung; guards, wh patrl and prtect the hive; and fragers, wh search fr nectar.
While previus studies have tested bees as a whle, Ciurfa and his clleagues fcused n fragers, tasking them with remembering an experience relevant t their rle: an dr assciated with a sugary reward.
The researchers bserved that a single expsure t a reward-paired dr was enugh fr mst frager bees t remember that specific dr the fllwing day. Many fragers culd even remember the dr three day later.
The results d nt mean that all prir research was wrng, says André Fiala f the University f Göttingen. “Peple have dne the experiments in a different way.” Still, the new results d shw that “the cmmnly held belief that ne needs multiple training trials t achieve lng-term memry is nt always true,” he says, and this “really advances the field.”
32.What des the authr want t tell us thrugh Paragraph 1?

C.New research n learning and memry.D.Previus findings n memry frmatin.

C.Hw ften the bee repeats the experience.D.Hw lng the bee is expsed t the reward.
34.What is Andre Fiala’s attitude twards the new results?
    A.Dubtful.B.Favrable.C.Intlerant.D.Unclear.
