I grew up in a small twn in New Hampshire, and every mrning, smetimes befre I wke up, my dad left fr wrk. I didn't knw much abut what my dad actually did all day. It's nt just the bks themselves that stay in my memry. It's the girl reading them, and what she felt as she read. I think back t hurs spent in my childhd bedrm, reading abut yung wmen wh faced lives much mre difficult than mine. I learned frm their curage and drew inspiratin frm their bravery.
