Richardsn describes traveling alne like“a sht in the arm”, which “makes yu a mre cnfident persn that is ready t deal with anything”. He said, “The feeling f having vercme smething n my wn is a majr part f what drives me each day when I’m dealing with a difficult task. On Sunday, May 25th, 2014, India’s Malavath Prna, became the yungest female t climb t the summit f the wrld’s highest peak—Munt Everest. The 13-year-ld girl surpassed (超越) the previus recrd hlder, Nepal’s Nima Chemji Sherpa, wh accmplished the name achievement in 2012, at the age f 16.

Then came the big day. On April 15th, 2014, Malavath and 16-year-ld Anand Kumar alng with their guide Shekhar Babu and a team f Sherpas(夏尔巴人)began the dangerus 8, 848-meter trek(艰苦跋涉). While mst climbers attempt the peak frm the slightly easier Nepalese side, this team had t g via the harder Tibetan side. That’s because the gvernment f Nepal des nt allw anyne yunger than 16 t climb up the rute.
It was nt easy. In fact, Malavath was sent back t the base camp after she experienced altitude sickness when she gt t the advanced base camp set up at an altitude f 6, 400 meters.
