    One study was dne by researchers at Califrnia Plytechnic State University. A research team studied the effects f birdsng n peple walking thrugh a park in the state f Clrad, U.S. A bilgy graduate student, Danielle Ferrar, led the study. Ferrar says that there culd be an evlutinary(进化的) reasn why we like birdsng. There culd be many ther reasns, t.     In recent years, 3D printers have mstly been used t create small, specialized items. This includes parts fr autmbiles, airplanes and medical devices. Since the technlgy is still develping, nt many have yet been built. Hwever, the tp cmpanies plan t greatly increase prductin in the cming years.
    The startup cmpany Icn, based in Austin, Texas, made news in 2018 by cmpleting the first permitted 3D printed hme in the U.S. At the time, it said the hme had been built in just a day. Since then, the cmpany says it has been develping new technlgies in rbtics, sftware and manufacturing materials. It designed its wn 3D printer and said the rbt-pwered machine culd create structures up t 185 square meters. The printing prcess uses a cement-based mixture that Icn says is strnger and saves mre mney than traditinal building materials.
    T date, Icn has cmpleted 24 3D printed hmes in the U.S. and Mexic. Amng them was a cmmunity f 3D printed hmes in a pr neighbrhd in Mexic.     A New Yrk cmpany, SQ4D, als uses 3D printing technlgy t build hmes. In February, the cmpany shwed ff a 130-square-meter mdel hme t demnstrate (证明) its printer'sabilities.SQ4D plans t sell its hmes starting at $299,000. The cmpany has even started listing the hmes n the Internet selling site Zillw. Kirk Andersen is SQ4D's directr f peratins. He tld Reuters the 3D printer will permit buyers t easily create their wn hme design, rm by rm.
