Teaching Prcedures
STEP 1 Brainstrming and free discussin
Let’s talk abut ur best friends. Hw many adjectives can yur find t talk abut yur friends? Yu can use the fllwing structure.

Encurage the students t give as many wrds as pssible. Classify the wrds int different grups while writing them n the black bard.
Fr strnger class, we can give them sme mre wrds, fr example the wrds in the brackets.
STEP 2 Shwing a picture
Shw a picture f Daniel and say Daniel have a very gd friends. Let’s see wh Daniel’s best friend is.
Shw the fllwing questins t the students.
Shw the students the fllwing pictures ne by ne and get the students t make sme guesses first.
Play the tape and let students find the answers by themselves. Get the students t talk abut Kate’s appearance.
STEP 3 Reading the passage silently
Ask the student t pen their bks. Read the passage silently and find the infrmatin abut Kate’s persnality and ability. Here are the tw questins.
STEP 4 Reading the article alud
Get the students t read the article alud and get them t identify the fur paragraphs in the article. Help them t identify the purpse f each paragraph. Then fcus n the layut f the article, intrductin, main bdy and cnclusin.
Help the students t fcus n sme f the wnderful sentence, because they may need them fr their wn writing. Encurage them t make up new sentences.
STEP 5 Ding an activity

First, get the students t think f what kind f persn can be a gd mnitr. Fcus n the persnality and ability.
Organize class activities well, keep secrets, helpful(be willing t help thers)l, generus (be ready t share …with…)
Chse ne student t be a new mnitr. Explain that it des nt mean the mnitr nw is nt gd. This is nly an activity. Grup members wrk tgether and discuss abut the student’s appearance, persnality and ability.
Give the students a general structure fr them t fllw and rganize their ideas.
STEP 6 Hmewrk
a. Read the passage and recite the passage.
b. Write an article abut yur best friend.
