一、教学目标:
1. 语言知识目标:
1) 能掌握以下单词:range, ruler, pen, key, jacket, map, cup, quilt , spell, please
2) 能掌握以下句型:
① —What's this in English? —It's an range.
② —What's that in English? —It's a map?
③ —Spell it, please. —M-A-P.

在认识事物的学习活动中培养学生的想象力和创造力;激发学生学习英语的兴趣,发挥学生学习英语的主动性;通过小组活动、组间竞赛,培养学生的合作意识和团队精神。
二、教学重难点
1. 教学重点:
1) 运用 — What's this/that? — It's… 句型对周围的事物进行问答练习。
2) 运用Spell it, please句型,练习拼写所学的有关事物的单词,并强化记忆这些单词。
3)总结归纳元音字母Aa、Ee、Ii与O在单词中的常见发音规律,并能利用所学的规律来尝试拼读新的单词。

三、教学过程
Ⅰ. Warming- up and revisin
1. Greet the Ss. Check the hmewrk.
2. Review the letters Ii ~ Rr. Let sme Ss recite the letters. Then let sme Ss cme t the Bb and write them n the Bb. (注意和同学们一起纠正个别同学不正确的笔顺。)
3. Put sme real bjects n the teacher's desk. (range, ruler, pen, key, jacket, cup)
Ask Ss t answer the questins:
T: What's this in English?
Ss: It's an range.
T: What's this in English?
Ss: It's a ruler.
(Ask abut mre Ss abut ther things.)
4. Pint t a map n the wall. Ask Ss: What's that in English?
Ss: It's a map.
Pint t a picture f quilt. Ask Ss: What's that in English?
Ss: It's a quilt.
(Put the real bjects n a desk which is a little far away.)
Then ask questins abut them.
5. Let Ss ask and answer abut the bjects in pairs.
Ⅱ. Presentatin
1. Teach Ss hw t spell the new wrds.
T: (With a real bject) What's this in English?
Ss: It's a ruler.
T: Spell it, please.
T: R-U-L-E-R. (Write "Spell it, please." and "R-U-L-E-R." n the Bb.)
Then ask sme Ss the same questins:
T: What's this in English?
S1: It's a ruler.
T: Spell it, please.
S1: R-U-L-E-R.
Ask questins with pen, range, cup…
2. Let Ss ask and answer abut the real bjects.
S3: What's this/that in English?
S4: It's a quilt.
S3: Spell it, please.
S4: Q-U-I-L-T.
Ⅲ. Listening
1. 让学生们看3a中的八幅图画,读出每幅图画的英语名称。
2. 告诉学生们下面将听到的录音中是图画中的事物。听录音,按录音中所读的顺序将这八幅图画排序。
3. Listen t the recrding and number the pictures.
(Fr the first time, nly listen. Fr the secnd time, listen and number the pictures. Fr the third time, let's check the answers.)
4. Nw let's listen t the recrding again. And cmplete the wrds under the pictures in 3a.
(Play the tapes three times. Fr the first and the secnd time, Ss listen and write letters t cmplete the wrds. Fr the third time, check the answers with the whle class. )
Ⅳ. Pair wrk
1.(让学生们看3c图画中的人物的对话,告诉学生们艾里克与海伦在问答地图的说法及拼写。)
T: Nw listen the recrding. Fr the first time nly listen and fr the secnd time, listen and repeat after the recrding.

1. Tell Ss t lk at the bx in 3d. Then let sme Ss read the wrds alud. Make sure they knw the meaning f every wrd.
2. Tell Ss that they will hear fur cnversatins. They are abut different bjects. Listen t the cnversatins and number the wrds yu hear.
3. Play the recrding fr the Ss listen and number.
(Play the recrding three times. Fr the first time, nly listen. Fr the secnd time, listen and number the wrds. Fr the third time, check the answers.)

1. T: Lk at the picture in 3e. This is Helen's rm. Eric and Helen are talking abut the bjects in her rm. What can yu see in the rm?
Ss: A map, a ruler, a pen, an range, a quilt and a jacket.
2. Wh can act ut the cnversatin in the picture?
S1: What's this in English?
S2: It's an range.
S1: Spell it, please.
S2: O-R-A-N-G-E.
3. Very gd! Nw wrk with yur partner and ask and answer abut the bjects in Helen's rm.
(Ss ask and answer abut the bjects in Helen's rm.)
Ⅶ. Writing
1. Nw let's recite all the letters we learned frm Aa t Rr.
(Ss try t recite it by themselves first. Then let sme Ss recite the wrds in frnt f the class.)
2. T: Nw let's wrk n 4a. Lk at the chart. Read the chart first then fill in the blanks.
(提醒学生们这两行字母分别是大写形式和小写形式)
3. Ss write the missing letters. Then check the answers with his/her partner.
4. Let's wrk n 4b nw. First let's read the wrds in the bx. Then, let sme Ss read the wrds in the bx alud.
5. Nw let's number all the wrds in alphabetical rder. (让学生们解释一下什么是“字母表顺序”)
6. Ss number all the wrds in alphabetical rder then let sme Ss read their numbers t check the answers.
Ⅷ. Listen and repeat

(告诉学生们这是有关元音字母a、e、i和在单词中读音规则的总结,同学们认真听,看能否听清左右两个方框中发音的不同。)
Play the tape twice fr the Ss t listen.
