      Plastic is an imprtant part f ur daily life. It is very cheap, strng and lng­lasting. Hwever, we use a lt f it but recycle little. The wrld prduces mre than 350 millin tns f plastic waste each year. But nly less than 10% f the waste gets recycled. This has left us with a grwing muntain f plastic pllutin.
      Recycling plastic can be tugh because it is nt easy t separate all the different kinds f plastic simply by lking at them. A grup f scientists wanted t find a way t slve it s that they culd recycle mre plastic and prduce better prducts. T d this, they tried t see if cmputers with cameras culd learn t recgnize (识别) 12 kinds f plastic.
      First, the scientists placed 12 plastic samples (样本) under a special camera ne by ne t get the spectra (波谱) f them. Next, the camera sent the infrmatin t a cmputer t help it analyze the similarities and differences between the spectra, s that the cmputer culd recgnize the type f plastic itself. Finally, the cmputer's learning was put t the test! Scientists placed three kinds f unknwn plastic under the camera t see if the cmputer culd tell them. Luckily, the cmputer made it!
      The study shws that this technlgy can help us t recycle mre plastic The results can be used in ur life successfully. The scientists are nw trying t cut dwn the infrmatin the cmputer needed.
