Our schl talent shw was cming up, and Mia, Tm and I wanted t jin, but nne f us had perfrmed alne. Mia lved singing but was t shy t perfrm alne. Tm played the guitar well but hated being the fcus. I culd dance but felt lst withut a team. “Why nt frm a band?” Mia suggested. “We need a sng that we can perfrm tgether and fits all f us.”
We searched fr days and finally fund Cunting Stars—a sng that had a nice sund that Mia culd sing, simple guitar parts Tm culd play, and a rhythm (节拍) I culd dance t. At first, everything went wrng. Mia’s vice shk when we practiced, Tm made mistakes with the guitar, and my dance mves didn’t match the music. We almst gave up, but the sng’s lyrics, which talked abut chasing dreams withut fear, made us try harder.
Every afternn, we practiced in the music hall. We changed the sng a little s that Mia culd sing sftly, Tm made the guitar parts easier, and I created dance steps that wrked with their perfrmance. What nce felt messy slwly turned int a smth (流畅) perfrmance. It cnnected ur strengths and cvered ur weaknesses.
On the talent shw night, we held hands backstage. When the music started, we frgt ur wrries and played frm ur hearts. Mia sang cnfidently, Tm’s guitar sunded smth, and I danced with jy. The audience (观众) cheered ludly, and even thugh we didn’t win first prize, we wn urselves.
That experience taught me that music is mre than just smething we can dance r sing t. It’s a bridge that brings peple tgether, turning each persn’s weak pints int the grup’s strng pints. The simple sng became a memry that reminds us: with teamwrk and curage, we can d what we never thught pssible.

Millins f peple pen fitness apps each day t stay mtivated (有积极性的) and reach their health gals. But a new study suggests these apps might have the ppsite effect.
Researchers studied nearly 14,000 negative psts n a scial platfrm abut the five mst ppular fitness apps. Instead f feeling mtivated, many users said they felt cnfused, angry, r even ashamed because f hw the apps set and tracked their gals. What was meant t help peple live healthier lives ften left them feeling bad abut themselves.
The researchers explained their findings using “self-determinatin thery”, which says mtivatin depends n three things: autnmy (feeling in cntrl), cmpetence (feeling able t d smething), and relatedness (feeling cnnected t ther peple). Fitness apps, they fund, ften weaken all three.
Many apps reduce autnmy by setting autmatic (自动的) gals, such as calrie (卡路里) limits r weight-lss plans, withut asking what feels right fr users. Sme peple said the apps tld them t eat far t little; while thers nticed that gals didn’t change fr persnal situatins such as ding mre exercise.
Prblems with the apps als hurt peple’s sense f cmpetence. Users said their apps frze, lst prgress, r lst their streaks after missing just ne day. Seeing their hard wrk disappear made them feel like failures, and many stpped trying altgether.
Finally, the study fund that many users felt unsupprted. The apps’ reminders t pst abut their meals r warnings abut certain fds ften felt mre like criticism (批评) than help.
The researchers said that fitness apps shuld be designed t supprt realistic gals. Instead f fcusing n eating fewer calries and keeping perfect streaks, the apps shuld help peple enjy exercise, find balance and be kind t themselves.
Until that happens, the app that is suppsed t mtivate yu might actually be the thing making yu want t give up!
21.Why d fitness apps reduce users’ autnmy?
A. Because the apps never set gals n their wn.
B. Because the apps are t expensive t affrd.

A. By adding mre fun features.
B. By helping users enjy fewer calries.
C. By ffering mre detailed suggestins.

24.What is the main idea f the passage?
A. Fitness apps may discurage users instead f helping them.
B. Fitness apps are the mst effective way t stay fit and mtivated.
C. Self-determinatin thery is a new methd used t better use fitness apps.
D. Peple shuld stp using scial platfrms t share their fitness prgress.

This kind f chatbt is ften pwered by smething called a Large Language Mdel, r LLM. Chatbts pwered by Large Language Mdels (LLMs) have transfrmed hw we interact with technlgy. These AI assistants seem remarkably human. Hwever, understanding the ways they wrk and limitatins behind them is essential fr using them effectively.
An LLM acts like a super-fast reader with a huge memry. Think f it as having read almst every bk and website nline. It desn’t truly think r understand like a persn, but it is very gd at learning patterns frm wrds. Fr example, it learns that the wrd “rain” ften cmes with “umbrella.”
S hw des it answer yur questin? It builds the reply step-by-step. First, it predicts the mst likely wrd t start with. Then, based n that wrd, it chses the next best wrd, and then the next. It links these wrds tgether t make full sentences. Yu can imagine it as a much smarter versin (版本) f the wrd suggestins yu see n yur phne.
LLMs can be useful tls fr schl. They can translate languages quickly, shrten lng texts int main pints, help yu begin an essay (论文), r explain a difficult tpic in easier wrds. This can save time and help yu understand things better. By autmating (使自动化) these tasks, they allw students t fcus n deeper analysis (分析) and creative thinking.

Smetimes, they “hallucinate.” This means they may give answers that are wrng r cmpletely made up. Therefre, while they are excellent fr brainstrming and writing practice, duble-checking their utput against reliable surces remains a critical step.
Researchers are always trying t make LLMs better, safer, and mre accurate (准确的). The hpe is that they will becme helpful digital assistants t supprt learning and creativity in the future.

D. By chsing the wrd suggestins frm a phne.
26.Accrding t the text, what can LLMs help students d fr their schlwrk?
A. LLMs cnduct deep analysis and creative thinking autmatically.
B. LLMs translate languages and explain difficult tpics in simple wrds.
C. LLMs read every bk nline t find the nly crrect answer.
D. LLMs fix all the mistakes in an essay withut any help.
27.What is the main purpse f this passage?
A. T warn peple never t use LLMs fr any schl tasks.
B. T shw us LLMs are safe and helpful digital assistants.
C. T explain hw LLMs can replace human learning and creativity.
