Fish scales accunt fr 3 percent f the 70.5 millin metric tnnes f fish prduced glbally each year. They usually dn’t get eaten and g t waste, but Yu and his team saw ptential in flexible electrnics.
The team extracted gelatin frm fish scales and used this t create an extremely thin film. Tiny silver nanwires(纳米丝) were then incrprated int it, t act as electrdes(电极), alng with a light-emitting material made f zinc sulphide (硫化锌) and cpper, t prvide light fr the electrnic display.
“The result was a flexible electrnic display, which fully bidegraded(生物降解) after 24 days in sil. A plastic display can take centuries t break dwn. This means fish scale films culd als be useful fr creating dispsable wearable electrnic devices,” says Yu. “In additin t bidegradability, the fish scale films have the advantages f high transparency, lw surface rughness and lw cst. They can als be recycled by disslving them in warm water.”
8. Why is flexibility imprtant fr wearable electrnics?
A. Because it’s easy fr the display t change shapes.
B. Because materials with this character are envirnmentally friendly.

根据文章第一段内容“Flexibility is imprtant fr wearable electrnics t enable the creatin f displays that bend, fld r twist easily, says Yu Haidng, at Nanjing Tech University in China.(中国南京工业大学的Yu Haidng教授表示,柔韧性对于可穿戴电子产品而言十分重要,因为这能让其制造出能够轻松弯曲、折叠或扭转的显示屏。)” 故选A项。
根据文章第二段内容“Fish scales accunt fr 3 percent f the 70.5 millin metric tnes f fish prduced glbally each year. They usually dn’t get eaten and g t waste(全球每年生产的 7050 万吨鱼类中,鱼鳞占 3%。 A“Fish scales are highly valuable and widely used in industrial prductin.(鱼鳞具有极高的价值,并且在工业生产中被广泛应用。)” 根据文章第一段内容“Plastic has been the nly material fr achieving this kind f flexibility(塑料一直是实现这种柔韧性所需的唯一材料)”可知,塑料的灵活性源于其自身材料特性,与银纳米丝无关,而B项“Plastic’s flexibility is achieved thrugh the using f silver nanwires.(塑料的柔韧性是通过使用银纳米线得以实现的。)” 文中第三段提及“Tiny silver nanwires were then incrprated int it, t act as electrdes(随后,将极细的银纳米线掺入其中,用作电极)”可知,银纳米线是作为电极用,D项“Silver nanwires are added t the film mainly fr flexibility.(银纳米线被添加到薄膜中主要是为了增强其柔韧性。)” 文章第四段内容“The result was a flexible electrnic display, which fully bidegraded after 24 days in sil. A plastic display can take centuries t break dwn.(其结果是制造出了柔性电子显示屏,这种显示屏在土壤中放置 24 天后就能完全生物降解。
根据文章末尾段内容“In additin t bidegradability, the fish scale films have the advantages f high transparency, lw surface rughness and lw cst. They can als be recycled by disslving them in warm water.(除了可生物降解性之外,这种鱼鳞薄膜还具有高透明度、低表面粗糙度以及成本低廉等优点。
根据文章末尾段Yu所说的话“This means fish scale films culd als be useful fr creating dispsable wearable electrnic devices(这意味着鱼鳞薄膜或许还能用于制造一次性可穿戴电子设备)”以及“In additin t bidegradability, the fish scale films have the advantages f high transparency, lw surface rughness and lw cst. They can als be recycled by disslving them in warm water.(除了可生物降解性之外,这种鱼鳞薄膜还具有高透明度、低表面粗糙度以及成本低廉等优点。
