China’s space technlgy team has made an imprtant breakthrugh in cmbining AI and space technlgy. The self develped gegraphic infrmatin platfrm MerakGIS, created by the Hangzhu Center f China Aerspace Science and Technlgy Crpratin, has built a new intelligent system fr space-air infrmatin prcessing. This system has caught wide attentin frm experts and peple in the industry since it was released last mnth.
This platfrm creatively cmbines large language mdels with agent technlgy, shifting the traditinal “human-cmputer interactin” mde t a mre effective “human-machine cperatin” ne. Users can simply input their questins r requirements, and the system intelligently explains cmplicated satellite pictures, cmbines diverse spatial (空间的) datasets, and des advanced studies. Nw, users can cmplete satellite image interpretatin, space data cmbining, and smart checking directly by using natural language instructins. This makes it much easier fr nn-experts t use. Even peple with little technical training can use it easily and quickly.
T imprve independent innvatin, the team has wrked tgether with Zhejiang University and Zhejiang Labratry n technical research and achievement transfrmatin. They have spent nearly tw years slving key prblems and testing the system again and again. Their cntinuus effrts fcused n slving the prblems f data wrking well tgether and making the AI algrithms (算法) better. At present, MerakGIS has been successfully used in the new energy field, prviding stable spatial data services and management supprt fr mre than 1, 000 slar pwer statins acrss the cuntry. It has helped these statins imprve their wrk efficiency by abut 30%.
This achievement cmbines high-precisin “aerspace cre” with intelligent “AI brain”, expanding the use f space-air infrmatin in strategic emerging industries and shwing aerspace technlgy’s value in serving natinal ecnmy and peple’s livelihd. The team says they will keep imprving MerakGIS and hpe t apply it in mre fields like agriculture and envirnmental prtectin in the future.
28.What is the primary purpse f creating MerakGIS?
A.T develp new satellites.B.T prmte AI technlgy.
C.T attract wrldwide experts.D.T prcess space-air infrmatin.
29.Which is an innvatin f the platfrm?
A.It relies n satellite image analysis.B.It cuts aerspace technlgy csts.
C.It perates thrugh natural language.D.It replaces human wrkers entirely.
30.What can be inferred abut the platfrm’s develpment?
A.It was finished within a mnth after being released.
B.It relied mainly n verseas labs fr cre technlgy.
C.It was tested nce and applied immediately natinwide.
D.It tk jint wrk t imprve integratin and algrithms.
31.Which f the fllwing best describes the future f MerakGIS?
A.Uncertain.B.Prfitable.C.Dubtful.D.Prmising.
As clcks spring frward in the nrthern hemisphere (北半球), many peple eagerly await lnger, sunnier evenings. They might accept a few sleepy mrnings as a small trade-ff. Hwever, recent studies warn that Daylight Saving Time (DST) culd harm health in lasting ways.
Our bdy’s internal clck, called the circadian rhythm, sits in a brain area knwn as the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN). This clck cntrls when we feel awake r sleepy. It manages melatnin, a hrmne (荷尔蒙) that makes us sleepy, and crtisl, a hrmne that bsts wakefulness. Light expsure, especially blue light in the mrning, starts this clck. Special cells in the eyes send signals t the SCN. When mrning light hits right, sleep hrmnes kick in at night, and we wake up naturally the next day.
Standard time, ften called winter time, matches sunlight better. On standard time, peple get mre blue mrning light, thus setting ff their bdy clcks prperly. DST, hwever, steals an hur f mrning light and adds an hur f bright evening. Less mrning blue light means the SCN is never fully “clicked”, while evening light stps melatnin and pushes bedtime later. The result is a daily mismatch that cntinues fr mnths.
Large studies shw what this mismatch csts. Americans living n the late sun edge f a time zne sleep 19 minutes less a night during DST, and are 11% mre likely t be verweight. Teenagers, already night wls, lse 32 minutes. The switch week itself is wrse: heart attacks jump 24%, strkes 8%, suicides 6%, and fatal car crashes rise.
Experts ffer fixes. Chrnbilgist Eva Winnbeck frm the University f Surrey suggests sitting utside in mrning light (n sunglasses) t reset yur clck. Skip bright screens at night, and use warm hme lights in the evening t prtect melatnin. Enjy evening activities like gardening r glf, but try range tinted glasses t blck blue light. Yu might feel silly, but better sleep is wrth it.
32.What is the main functin f the circadian rhythm?
A.It reduces the risk f heart attacks.B.It cntrls sleep related hrmnes.
C.It absrbs sunlight t wake peple up.D.It affects peple’s preference fr DST.
33.Why des DST negatively affect sleep quality?
A.It disturbs melatnin prductin.B.It shrtens the time f night sleep.
C.It increases mrning blue light expsure.D.It makes teenagers awake in the mrning.
34.What measure can help reduce the harm caused by DST?
A.Using cl lights at night.B.Aviding screens cmpletely.
C.Wearing range tinted glasses.D.Staying indrs in the mrning.
35.Which f the fllwing is the best title fr the passage?
A.DST: A Cure fr SleeplessnessB.DST: A Hidden Threat t Health
C.DST: Blue Light Secrets at SunriseD.DST: Internal Clck’s Perfect Match

Shpping in the Live Streaming Era
Nwadays, live-stream shpping has becme an irresistible trend, especially amng teenagers. We are ften attracted by hsts’ enthusiastic prmtins, vivid prduct demnstratins and tempting discunts, making impulse purchases a cmmn ccurrence.
Frm my perspective, live-stream shpping is a duble-edged swrd. On ne hand, it ffers cnvenience, enabling us t buy varius prducts at hme and access detailed prduct infrmatin. On the ther hand, teenagers are prne t verspending due t lack f self-cntrl. Thus, we shuld keep a ratinal mind, resist the temptatin f flash sales and spend mney wisely.

Shpping in the Live Streaming Era
Nwadays, live-stream shpping has deeply changed teenagers’ cnsumptin behavirs. We are unwilling t d shpping alne; instead, we ften watch live streams with friends, share favrite prduct links in grup chats, and even make jint purchases fr bigger discunts.
This trend turns shpping int a scial activity, making buying things mre fun and strengthening bnds with peers. Hwever, it als leads t mre impulse buys, as we may fllw friends’ chices withut careful cnsideratin. Thus, while enjying the scial fun f live-stream shpping, we shuld stick t ur wn needs and keep a ratinal attitude twards cnsumptin.
