The teaching purpse f the "Starting ut " sectin is t aruse interest, link knwledge and set the scene. Thrugh the discussin and sharing f the theme f happiness, students' emtinal resnance is stimulated, enabling them t realize that happiness is nt nly a material satisfactin, but als a spiritual pleasure and inner peace. This understanding helps students frm a psitive utlk n life and values.
【Hw】
Teachers can create a cntext by shwing a picture f happiness r playing a shrt vide abut happiness, thus arusing students' interest in and thinking abut the tpic f happiness. This way f intrductin can quickly attract students' attentin and pave the way fr the fllwing learning.
学情分析
This class is designed fr Grade 7 students in adlescence, full f curisity and explratin spirit. They have basic English grammar and vcabulary fr simple daily cmmunicatin, but are new t the theme f happiness.
In terms f skills, they have a certain fundatin in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, yet need t imprve reading cmprehensin, lgical thinking, and language expressin. They als require mre guidance in cperative and independent learning. This class will cultivate these thrugh grup discussins and rle - playing.
Regarding emtins, students are interested in happiness but may lack enthusiasm fr English learning. Teachers need t cmbine the theme with English study t bst mtivatin. Als, sme students may be anxius when facing difficulties, s the class aims t help them recgnize psitive aspects f life and develp a grateful and ptimistic attitude.

1.Students bserve the pictures n the first page f the chapter, think and answer the questins: What is the girl ding? Hw d yu think she feels? Why?
2.Students are led t knw what they are ging t learn in this unit and the bjectives f the unit.
Based n students' respnses, bserve whether they can participate in interactins and exchanges, and whether they can actively share their existing knwledge related t the tpic.
设计意图:通过展示关于幸福的图片或视频,激发学生对幸福话题的兴趣。
2.Understand the definitin f happiness by reading a pem and watching a vide.
Step 2: Starting ut
Students appreciate the pem in Activity 1 f the textbk and answer the questins:
What is the pem abut?
What’s special abut the pem?
Students learn what is an acrstic and its characteristics.
Students discuss with their partners and think their pinin(观点) abut happiness?
Observe students' learning prgress t find ut whether they understand acrstics. Als, check if they can articulate their understanding f happiness.
设计意图:诗歌赏析与问答环节,让学生赏析诗歌并回答问题,培养阅读理解能力,引导提取关键信息,理解主题,还能激发对诗歌形式等特点的思考,为学习藏头诗作铺垫。学习藏头诗环节,拓宽学生文学视野,为创作打基础。小组讨论环节,锻炼口语与批判性思维,促进交流。

设计意图:在教学过程中,先让学生观看视频并回答 “智者想告诉我们什么” 以及 “是否同意智者观点”,以此锻炼信息提取、归纳能力,激发批判性思维,培养独立思考与表达能力。接着,通过观察图片回答相关问题,激发联想回忆,培养语言组织能力,提升分析与感悟生活的能力。最后,组织学生两两讨论幸福经历,锻炼口语与沟通能力,促进情感共鸣和思想交流 。
