They said even light frm a televisin r an alarm clck culd affect ur health. Sleeping withut any light is mre difficult fr peple wh live in cities, where there is a lt f utdr light at night. The researchers are frm the Nrthwestern University Feinberg Schl f Medicine in Chicag, The lead researcher, Dr. Phyllis Zee, is an expert in sleep medicine. Her team cnducted a study f the bld sugar levels f 20 peple after nights f sleep. The peple wh slept with a light n had higher bld sugar levels the next mrning cmpared t thse wh slept in ttal darkness. Dr. Zee said this is because light stimulates brain activity, which raises bld sugar levels. She said there are three things we can d t reduce the risk f illness: turn ff the lights, use a light-blcking curtain and wear an eye mask.
