      Dr. Pease teaches at Suthern Illinis University Carbndale. He began using a special AI-pwered device (设备) called a PUC t recrd (录制) bird sngs and tell which birds are singing. The device als recrds time, place, and weather infrmatin, and sends all f these t the Internet.

      The scientists studied ver 60 millin bird calls frm 583 kinds f birds that are usually active during the day. They knew the time and place f each bird sund. This helped them t cmpare (比较) the timing f the calls with the amunt (数量) f light pllutin in the area.
