Shcking declines in bird ppulatins are taking place arund the wrld. S cncludes a study frm scientists at multiple institutins, published tday in the jurnal Annual Review f Envirnment and Resurces. Lss and degradatin (恶化) f natural habitats and direct verexplitatin f many species are regarded as the key threats t avian (鸟类的) bidiversity. Climate change is identified as an emerging driver f bird ppulatin decline.
The study says apprximately 48% f existing bird species wrldwide are knwn r suspected t be underging ppulatin decline. Ppulatins are stable fr 39% f species. Only 6% are shwing increasing ppulatin trends, and the status f 7% is still unknwn. The study authrs reviewed changes in avian bidiversity using data frm the Internatinal Unin fr Cnservatin f Nature’s Red List f Threatened Species t reveal ppulatin changes amng the wrld’s 11,000 bird species.
“After dcumenting the lss f nearly 3 billin birds in Nrth America alne, it was shcking t see the same patterns f ppulatin decline and extinctin ccurring glbally,” says cnservatin scientist Ken Rsenberg frm the Crnell Lab. “Because birds are highly visible and sensitive indicatrs f envirnmental health, we knw their lss signals a much wider lss f bidiversity and threats t human health and well-being.”
Despite their findings, study authrs say there is hpe fr avian cnservatin effrts, but transfrmative change is needed.
“The fate f bird ppulatins is strngly dependent n stpping the lss and degradatin f habitats,” says Rsenberg. “That is ften driven by the demand fr resurces. We need t better cnsider hw cmmdity (商品) flws can cntribute t bidiversity lss and try t reduce the human ftprints n the natural wrld.”
“Frtunately, the glbal netwrk f bird cnservatin rganizatins taking part in this study have the tls t prevent further lss f bird species and abundance,” adds Rsenberg. “Frm land prtectin t plicies supprting sustainable resurce use, it all depends n the will f gvernments and f sciety t live side by side with nature n ur shared planet.”
28. Which f the fllwing is a new cause f bird ppulatin decline?

根据第一段“Lss and degradatin (恶化) f natural habitats and direct verexplitatin f many species are regarded as the key threats t avian (鸟类的) bidiversity. Climate change is identified as an emerging driver f bird ppulatin decline.( 自然栖息地的丧失和退化以及许多物种的直接过度开发被认为是鸟类生物多样性的主要威胁。 故选A项。
根据第二段“The study says apprximately 48% f existing bird species wrldwide are knwn r suspected t be underging ppulatin decline. Ppulatins are stable fr 39% f species. Only 6% are shwing increasing ppulatin trends, and the status f 7% is still unknwn. Imagine this: Yu’re at an ffice jb, wearing nise canceling headphnes t dampen the surrunding chatter. A c-wrker arrives at yur desk and asks a questin, but rather than needing t remve the headphnes and say, “What?”, yu hear the questin clearly. Meanwhile, the water-cler chat acrss the rm remains muted.
A team led by researchers at the University f Washingtn has created a headphne prttype (原型) that allws listeners t create just such a “sund bubble (音泡) ”. The team’s artificial intelligence (AI) cmbined with a headphne prttype allw the wearer t hear peple speaking within a bubble with a prgrammable radius f 3 t 6 feet. Vices and sunds utside the bubble are quieted an average f 49 decibels (分贝), even if the distant sunds are luder than thse inside the bubble.
“Humans aren’t great at perceiving distances thrugh sund, particularly when there are multiple sund surces arund them,” said senir authr Shyam Gllakta, a UW prfessr in the Paul G. Allen Schl f Cmputer Science & Engineering. “Our AI system can actually learn the distance fr each sund surce in a rm, and prcess this in real time, within 8 millisecnds, n the hearing device itself.”
Researchers created the prttype with cmmercially available nise-canceling headphnes. They affixed six small micrphnes acrss the headband. The team’s neural netwrk — running n a small nbard embedded cmputer attached t the headphnes — tracks when different sunds reach each micrphne. The system then lwers the sunds cming frm utside the bubble, while playing back and slightly enhancing the sunds inside the bubble.

C 33. B 34. D 35. A
根据第一段中“Yu’re at an ffice jb, wearing nise canceling headphnes t dampen the surrunding chatter. A c-wrker arrives at yur desk and asks a questin, but rather than needing t remve the headphnes and say, ‘What?’, yu hear the questin clearly.(你在办公室工作,戴着降噪耳机来dampen周围的喋喋不休。
根据第二段中的“The team’s artificial intelligence (AI) cmbined with a headphne prttype allw the wearer t hear peple speaking within a bubble with a prgrammable radius f 3 t 6 feet. Vices and sunds utside the bubble are quieted an average f 49 decibels (分贝), even if the distant sunds are luder than thse inside the bubble.(该团队的人工智能与耳机原型相结合,使佩戴者能够在3到6英尺可调半径的音泡内听到人们说话。
根据第三段中的“Our AI system can actually learn the distance fr each sund surce in a rm, and prcess this in real time, within 8 millisecnds, n the hearing device itself.(我们的人工智能系统实际上可以学习房间中每个声源的距离,并在听力设备本身上实时处理,在800毫秒内)”可知,AI通过实时处理声音来确定声音距离。
根据最后一段中“Next, the team is wrking t make the technlgy functin n hearing aids and nise-canceling earbuds (耳塞), which requires a new strategy fr psitining the micrphnes.(接下来,该团队正在努力使该技术在助听器和降噪耳塞上发挥作用,这需要一种新的麦克风定位策略)”可知,该团队接下来的任务可能是让该系统适用于助听器和降噪耳塞。故选A项。

根据上文“If the driver is ging abve the speed limit, d nt immediately shut at him.(如果司机超速了,不要立即对他大喊大叫。)”和下文“Hwever, if yu can see the driver speeding cnsciusly and unsafely, yu have the full right t advise the driver t slw dwn and drive mre carefully, t make all the passengers feel safe.(然而,如果你能看到司机有意识地、不安全地超速行驶,你完全有权建议司机减速,更加小心地驾驶,让所有乘客感到安全。)”

根据“In recent years”(近年来)是现在完成时的标志词,现在完成时的结构为“have/has +过去分词”,主语“the preservatin f Chinese medicine”是第三人称单数,助动词用 has,“becme”的过去分词是“becme”。故填has becme。
故填Prtecting/T prtect。
故填with。

故填which。
故填be made。
故填its。
