In tday’s wrld full f digital gadgets (工具), handwritten ntes and lists are becming less cmmn. Hwever, did yu knw that there’s smething special abut writing with a pen n paper?
Recently, researchers at the Nrwegian University f Science and Technlgy studied the effects f handwriting. They fund that when yu write yur shpping list r schl ntes by hand, yu remember things better. T test this, they asked 12 grwn-ups and 12 children t take part in a fun experiment. The members wre a cap with sensrs (传感器) that culd mnitr their brain activity. They were asked t write and type while their brain activity was mnitred.
The results shwed that bth children and grwn-ups had mre brain activity when they were writing by hand cmpared t typing. Accrding t the study’s authr, Van der Meer, writing by hand uses many senses like tuch, sight, and hearing. It’s like a great exercise fr yur brain, which helps yu learn better. Van der Meer suggests that children shuld start drawing and writing by hand, especially in schl. She knws that it might take lnger t learn t write neatly, but it’s very imprtant fr brain develpment.
When writing by hand, yu make precise mvements with yur hand t frm letters, which helps yur brain. This is different frm typing n a keybard, where yu press the same keys repeatedly. S handwriting keeps yur brain in a cntinuus learning mde (模式).
