Peng spends his days tracking elephant activities, mapping safe travel areas fr peple, and creating warning vides shared n the Internet. “I used t track them n ft, but thick frests ften prevented me frm seeing elephants,” he recalled. “Nw, drnes allw me t watch many grups at the same time.”
Xishuangbanna has put many smart mnitring tls int use. Thanks t them, since 2022, ver 35,000 warnings have been sent acrss the area, preventing mre than 700 pssible human-elephant cnflicts.
