In 1972. bilgists gathered at the Smithsnian's Natinal Z t frm a plan t save the species. They decided t breed tamarins in captivity(圈养) and later reintrduce them t the wild. During the summers f the 1970s, the tamarins underwent “bt camp.” This “bt camp” expsed them t natural cnditins, teaching them t hw t find fd and navigate trees, all while mnitring their safety.
Meanwhile, the Glden Lin Tamarin Assciatin in Brazil wrked n restring the tamarins’ habitat. They bught land frm private wners, partnered with farmers and planted trees t recnnect frest patches(碎片).
