Years ag, when I started lking fr my first jb, wise advisers advise “Barbara, be enthusiastic! Enthusiasm will take yu further than any amunt f experience.” Hw right they were!
“Nthing great was ever achieved withut enthusiasm.” Wrte Ralph Wald Emersn. It is the paste (粘合剂) that helps yu hang n there when the ging gets tugh. We can’t affrd t waste tears n “might-have-been”. We need t turn the tears int sweat as we g after “what-can-be”. We need t live each mment whle-heartedly, with all ur senses—finding pleasure in the sweet smell f a back-yard garden, the simple picture f a six-year-ld, the beauty f a rainbw.

After 10 hurs f being awake, the “evening peple” became mre active and energetic. Hwever, the “mrning peple” became sleepy and less fcused. Researchers believe the reasn fr this difference is that night wls receive a last-minute increase f energy frm their brains. This added energy allws night wls t stay sharp and prductive fr lnger perids f time, usually until bedtime. What determines ur bdy's preference?
