      T lk int this, researchers frm the Massachusetts Institute f Technlgy (MIT) asked 54 peple aged 18 t 39 t write three essays (文章) in 20 minutes. One grup wrte all three essays with the help f ppular AI chatbt ChatGPT. Anther grup used nly the Internet fr help, with AI answers turned ff. And a third grup used n utside surces at all. The essays were n tpics abut deep thinking, like whether we need t help thers in rder t be truly happy, r whether bks and mvies can truly change peple’s lives.
      Peple taking part wre special headsets that recrded their brains’ electrical activity while they wrte. Thse using ChatGPT shwed the lwest levels f brain cnnectivity, while thse using nly the Internet had greater brain cnnectivity. Thse using n utside surces had the mst cnnectivity. After they’d finished, the ChatGPT grup was als the least able t repeat sentences frm their essays.
      Eighteen peple were later called back t rewrite ne f their essays. This time the grups were changed — thse wh had used ChatGPT befre nw had t write with n utside surces, and thse wh had used n utside surces befre culd nw use ChatGPT. It fund that all nine peple frm the n-utside-surces grup culd remember all the tpics they had written abut befre. But nly three f thse wh had used ChatGPT culd remember all f their tpics. And thse wh had used ChatGPT befre still shwed weaker brain cnnectivity even nw that they were writing withut using any utside surces.
      The study has nt yet been checked by ther experts. Hwever, the researchers decided t share their results right away withut waiting because f hw imprtant the findings may be fr children’s educatin — and they felt the results shuld be seen as sn as pssible.
