T study this, Dunning and Kruger did experiments with cllege students. In ne test, they asked students questins abut grammar, lgic and jkes. Then they had the students guess their scres and hw they did cmpared t thers. The students wh scred the lwest verestimated their abilities the mst. Fr example, thse at the bttm thught they did better than tw-thirds f the ther students!
It’s cmmn fr peple t verestimate their abilities. But the prblem with unskilled peple is that they nt nly make bad chices — they als can’t tell they’re making mistakes. In a year-lng study, gd students culd better guess their future exam scres if they gt feedback (反馈) n their grades. But pr students still didn’t realize they were ding badly, even when they gt clear, repeated feedback. Instead f thinking abut their mistakes, they insisted they were right.
