This September, James returned t China fr the 15th time t meet and inspire yung fans. “T have the pprtunity t share the game with fans and cnnect with athletes all ver the wrld means a lt t me,” James said in an interview.

The number f fat children in the U. S. has becme three times as high as it was ver the past 50 years. The American Academy f Pediatrics (AAP) drew a lt f attentin by making a recmmendatin that dctrs put fat kids as yung as tw years ld n family-centered lifestyle and behavir plans. It als suggested prescribing(开处方) weight-lss drugs t children 12 and abve and peratins t teens 13 and up. This advice shws the rganizatin has taken a mre active standpint n childhd besity.
Hwever, the lifestyle prgrams the AAP recmmends are expensive, unsuitable fr mst children and hard t keep up. Few weight-lss drugs have been applied t children. And peratins have ptential risks and little lng-term safety data. Mrever, it’s nt clear whether these actins fr yungsters help t imprve health r nly add t the psychlgical(心理的)stress verweight kids face frm the sciety.
Rather than paying clse attentin t numbers n a scale, the U. S. and cuntries with similar situatins shuld fcus n a key truth: we need t spend mre n creating mre and safer places fr children where they can mve and run arund, climb and jump, ride and skate.
Why is it s hard t get kids mving? Experts think the prblem n the privatizatin f sprts—as public investment in schl-based athletics reduces, expensive private leagues have grwn, leaving many kids ut. In additin t fewer pprtunities at schl, researchers pint ut that kids spend mre time n screens and there aren’t enugh safe places fr them t play utside the hme. New Yrk City, fr example, had 2,067 public playgrunds as f 2019—a very small amunt fr its large ppulatin. In Ls Angeles in 2015, nly 33 percent f yuth lived within walking distance f a park.
Kids everywhere need mre places t play. Public mney fr building and keeping up these areas is f great imprtance, but ther chices such as shared-use agreements can enable the public t use unused spaces. These pprtunities aren’t mainly abut changing children’s waist size; they’ re abut keeping childhd healthy and fun.
      28. What can we infer abut the AAP’s recmmendatins?
      A. They mainly cncentrate n peratin.B. They reduce psychlgical stress.
      C. They are widely accepted by U. S. families.D. They may nt suit mst verweight kids.
      29. Hw des the authr supprt the view that kids lack safe play spaces?
      A. By listing research data.B. By telling a persnal stry.
      C. By cmparing different cuntries.D. By presenting experts’ views.
      30. What des the authr prbably agree with abut children’s play spaces?
      A. They are nly necessary fr verweight children.
      B. They are less imprtant than weight-lss prgrams.
      C. They cntribute t bth physical and mental health.
      D. They shuld be built and managed by private cmpanies.
      31. Which f the fllwing wuld be the best title fr the text?

      B. AAP’s New Advice n Childhd Obesity

      D. Reduce Screen Time fr American Kids
