      A year ag, I decided t create a mre envirnmentally friendly kitchen, fcusing n reducing the single-use prducts such as plastic bags and paper twels. I’m nt ging t sugarcat my experience. It takes cm mitment and a willingness t change lng-held habits. In creating my kitchen, I tried a lt f different alternative prducts and sme plain ld cmmn sense; the result, hwever, has been wrth the effrt. I’m recycling mre and relying less n single-use prducts and I’m saving mney t.
      I’m nt kidding when I say that I used t really lve plastic strage bags, s this was, perhaps, the biggest challenge fr me. Switching t reusable strage bags is a financial investment, but the cs is reasnable cnsidering that I previusly spent at least $ 100 annually n single-use plastic bags and wrap. I will check nline peridically fr recycling updates, where a zer-waste bx fr kitchen items is ffered, frm party supplies t mixed-material fd cntainers.
      I’m a clean freak (怪人) and used t g thrugh an amunt f paper twels n a daily basis, but it’s easy enugh t take ld T-shirts r twels and cut them up t use t wipe dwn surfaces. I’m als a fan f bamb paper twels, which have the lk and feel f traditinal paper twels, yet are made frm a highly renewable surce and als break dwn in just 45 days. Better yet, they can be reused up t 100 times. As fr kitchen spnges (海绵擦), I keep an eye ut fr thse made with natural and recyclable materials.
      When purchasing husehld items nline frm cmpanies like Amazn r Jet, I will ask t have them shipped in as few bxes as pssible r as small a bx as pssible if a single item is t be sent. I’ll let the cmpany knw that they shuld pay mre attentin t hw It is packaging items fr delivery.
