Thedr Seuss Geisel was brn in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1904. He was famus because f the bks he wrte fr children. They cmbine funny wrds, pictures and scial pinins.
Dr Seuss wrte his first bk fr children in 1937. It is called And t Think That I Saw It n Mulberry Street. A number f publishers refused t publish it. They said it was t different. By the mid-1940s, Dr Seuss had becme ne f the best-lved and mst successful writers f children’s bks. He had a strng desire t help children. Study authrs caught ver 28,000 insects frm 18 different msquit species during their experiment. Scientists lured the pests by using a trap that prduces carbn dixide. Msquites seek ut this gas, which bth humans and animals blw ut when they breathe. Fr these pests, the gas signals that a tasty meal is nearby. The team randmly selected 1,000 f these msquites t test in their lab temperature experiment. They placed each insect in a test tube befre putting it in water. Frm there, researchers cntinued t change the temperature, frm cld t ht. At the same time, the team mnitred when each msquit became inactive—marking their upper r lwer temperature threshlds (阈点).
