Hwever, in a study published in the jurnal Cmmunicatins Bilgy, researchers investigated nearly 100 primate species including mnkeys, apes and humans and revealed that the creatures with lnger thumbs (拇指) usually had larger brains.

This suggests that lnger thumbs are “linked t thinking, nt mvement.” Later, they tested the idea that the evlutin f lnger thumbs is assciated with tl use, but they didn’t find any crrelatin.
Ultimately, “we’ve always knwn that ur big brains and sharp fingers set us apart, but nw we can see they didn’t evlve separately,” Baker says. The study suggests ur species is nt quite as unique as we nce thught, and it als represents the first direct evidence that brain evlutin and hand flexibility are assciated thrughut the primate family tree.
