Lead-in
Elicit the tpic “birthday” by reviewing the picture n Page 69. Explain that my daughter's birthday is cming and I plan t have a birthday party. Lead students t think what I shuld d t prepare fr the party.

Let's learn t make a shpping list.
Activity 1. The kinds.
Present my shpping list and ask the students t categrize the things int different kinds.

Activity 2. The numbers.
Let students ask abut the numbers f the things by using “hw many” and “hw much”.

Ask students t ask prices by using “hw much is/are”.
Add the use f “what is the price f ...”.
Summarize the use f “hw much” and “hw many”.

Ask students t put the sentences said by the shp assistant and the custmer in right rder.
