15-year-ld Jacb Grsberg walked the streets f dwn twn n Saturday t try and help peple dealing with health prblems, especially mental issues. The Trnt teenager carried bags full f dnated clthes and hygiene (卫生) prducts fr peple living n the streets r in shelters.
Grsberg’s father nce suffered a lt frm depressin and mental illness. After his death, Grsberg decided he wanted t help thers dealing with the same prblem. His slutin was the Cnan Fund, s-called after his father’s high schl nickname fr his strength and ppularity. Players with peers were mre willing t take risks, trying t figure ut which decks culd help them t win. The results shwed that teens playing with their peers engage in mre explratry behavir, learn faster and achieve better perfrmance n the task than thse playing alne.

“We have shwn that plants can recgnize when a gd neighbr is grwing next t them,” said study c-authr Mnica Gaglian, an evlutinary eclgist at the University f Western Australia. “We fund that this cmmunicatin can be based upn an acustic (声音的) exchange.”
The findings suggest that plants can nt nly “smell” the chemicals and “see” the reflected light f their neighbrs, they may als “listen” t the plants arund them.

In the study, Gaglian and her wrkmate Michael Rentn shwed that chili plants spruted faster and were healthier, cmpared with thse grwn in islatin, when they were grwn next t “gd neighbrs”, such as basil.
Remarkably, the scientists gt the same result even when the plants were separated by black plastic s that they culd nt exchange light r chemical signals.
The scientists said the study is grundbreaking but still in its early days, and admitted there are still many unanswered questins.
