      67. I shared it with my sister and brther-in-law, and they agreed excitedly. The idea was t take Eli camping fr his birthday — just like my favrite birthday memry, but with a superher twist. We’d set up a tent in the nearby frest, invite a few f his clsest friends, and ask each kid t bring a simple superher cstume. Instead f hiring actrs, we’d let the kids take turns playing their favrite heres: Eli culd be Batman, his best friend Jake The Flash, and little Mia Spiderman. We’d als bake a small chclate cake with his favrite ice cream, n fancy decratins needed. The next day, we tld Eli the plan, and his eyes lit up — he even frgt t ask abut the giant inflatables.
As we rested in the camp tent, Eli said, “This is an awesme birthday, Uncle David.” Outside, the ther kids were laughing as they “fught” imaginary villains with stick “weapns.” We’d just eaten the chclate cake, its crumbs sticking t ur fingers, and the fire we’d built earlier still crackled sftly. “I didn’t need real superheres,” Eli said, leaning against my shulder. “Playing with Jake and Mia, eating cake here…it’s better than thse big parties.” My sister and brther-in-law smiled at each ther, and I knew we’d made the right chice. Smetimes, the best parties aren’t the mst extravagant — they’re the nes filled with simple fun and peple yu lve.题号
