Dear Jenny,
I really like the idea f adding a new clumn t ur English newspaper. It prvides a great pprtunity t share ur ideas. As far as I am cncerned, the clumn “ Fun at my schl” is a better chice. My reasns are as fllws.
I believe this clumn will be mre engaging fr the majrity f ur classmates. It can cver a wide range f tpics such as club experiences, amazing discveries and extracurricular activities that take place in ur schl. They are nt nly fun, but als reflect ur vibrant campus life. Mrever, it can encurage mre students t participate in schl activities and share their experiences, which will make ur newspaper mre clrful and appealing.
Thank yu fr cnsidering my suggestin. Lking frward t yur reply and the new clumn in ur newspaper.
Yurs,
Li Hua

At the next stp, I raced back t the crner. “I’m s srry! I frgt t pay fr the ht dg,” I gasped fr air, reaching ut fr my wallet. The vendr just smiled, wiping his cart. “Dn’t wrry abut it, yung lady.” Cnfused, I stared at him. “But—” “Wait a secnd,” he cut in, still grinning.
“Smene has paid fr it,” the vendr smiled. “The lady yu helped with the ranges. She bught a ht dg and said, ‘Please give this t the kind girl wh helped me — she deserves the best ht dg in the wrld!’” My eyes widened. I remembered seeing her at the stand frm the bus. The vendr handed me a napkin: “She left this fr yu.” On it, a nte read: “Kindness is the best sauce.” I bit int an imaginary ht dg, tasting nt just bread and chilli, but the warmth f a circle cmpleted — and realized I’d gtten the best ht dg indeed.
