As urban ppulatins grw, s des the demand fr fresh, lcally grwn prduce. In respnse, high-tech greenhuses equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) systems are becming increasingly cmmn in cities.

Recent studies frm her lab shw these systems use 30-40% less water than traditinal farming while increasing yields by up t 25%.
Plants depend n balanced cnditins t grw healthily, and AI ensures they receive exactly what they need. Withut prper light, grwth slws, and yields drp. Dr. Tanaka cmpares frcing plants t grw in changing envirnments t “making emergency stp and speeding up at the same time while driving a car” — it cnfuses the plant, making it weaker and causing it t die sner. This stress can make plants easier t catch diseases and reduce their nutritinal value.
T address this, smart greenhuses use LED grw lights paired with AI algrithms that adjust light clr fr different grwth stages. These systems nt nly imprve phtsynthesis (光合作用) but als cut energy use by up t 50% cmpared t traditinal setups. With this technlgy, city farmers can grw healthier plants with the least effrt while reducing their carbn ftprint.
