      1. Why desn’t spring cme t the Giant’s garden?
      Because the Giant desn’t allw the kids t play in his garden. S, the spring, the birds and the flwers dn’t cme t his garden either. Selfishness kills happiness.
      2. Why d yu think the Giant changes his mind?
      The Giant realizes the spring returns with the kids, and he learns that sharing brings happiness and beauty back t his garden.

      1. Here and there, ver the grass, stand beautiful flwers,  like stars.
      (1) here and there意为“到处;各处;零散地”。例如:
      She left her tys here and there.
      (2) 英语中为了强调句子的某个成分或者保持句子的平衡, 有时会把状语和谓语全部放在主语前面。例如: Under the tree sat an ld man. On the bed lies a child.
      2. “I cannt understand why spring has nt cme since last year,” says the Giant. “I hpe the weather changes sn.”
      hpe意为“希望,期望,指望”。例如:I hpe everything is kay.hpe后面也可以接动词不定式。例如:Amy hpes t be a teacher.

      nr常用于列举两个或更多相同性质的否定事物或情况,意为“也不”。nr summer的原句应该是nr des summer cme。
