I began by researching the histry f Chinese calligraphy and the different styles: the bld and strng racle bne script (甲骨文), the elegant and flwing grass script, and the standard script, which is used in mdern Chinese writing. Armed with this knwledge, I fund ut a lcal calligraphy teacher and began my lessns.
My first few attempts were clumsy, as I struggled t grasp the brush and cntrl the ink. It was challenging t keep the crrect psture and balance while writing, and I fund myself tired after hurs f practice. Hwever, my teacher encuraged me t keep ging and nt be discuraged by my lack f experience.
Over time, I came t realize that the fundamental essence (精髓) f Chinese calligraphy is nt simply the writing itself but als the spirit and feelings behind it.
