《 Unit 4 How can we become good learners?》教学重难点 1.教学重点:教给学生好的学习习惯和阅读策略。 2.教学难点:教会学生运用总分总结构写信。二.教学过程:Step1. Warm up Have a free talk with the students. Step2.pre--reading (Learn)Let the students watch a video and speak out the ways that they are learning English in.Encourage the students to speak out some other ways to learn English.【思路点拨】本环节通过学的方式进行抢答,激发学生的学习兴趣,说出更多的好的学习习惯,为阅读的学习做好铺垫。Step3. While--reading 1.Skimming. (Learn) Read the passage quickly and answer two simple questions. (出示阅读策略) 2. Scanning (Study&show) Read the passage and grasp the main idea of the passage, then tell “F” or “T”. If it is wrong ,tell us the correct answer. (出示阅读策略)Careful--reading (Study&show) Read the passage carefully and finish the mind map.(让学生细读课文,完成表格。与学生一起分析课文结构,先出示主题句,而后从四个方面进行分述,最后得出结论,让学生明白总分总结构,为下面环节的写作奠定基础。【思路点拨】阅读三步走,把一篇长课文化难为易,层层推进,最后让学生总结出本文结构总分总,这种结构结构对写作有很大帮助。Step4. A game (Practice) Look up the words quickly and write a sentence for each word. 【思路点拨】用所选的词造句,培养他们的创新能力,提高他们的口语表达能力。Step5. Post--readingDiscuss with their groups and share their ideas with the class, then give a report like this:I have three best ways to learn, if you are interested in ......,you will......by doing.....I think this will help you to.......,I’m sure you will be successful.【思路点拨】小组合作学习是学生学习的主要形式,重视学生之间的交流与合作,让学生自主地表达,自主的学习,能后实现对知识的融合。教师给学生搭建一个发挥想象的平台,让学生口头作报告,激发学生的积极思维,挖掘学生创造性地使用语言的能力,为写信做铺垫。Step6.Listening 1.listen to the video about the secrets of success.2.Let the students speak out the eight secrets.【思路点拨】在英语教学中,听是很重要的一个环节。既锻炼了听力,又应用这个视频导入写信。Step7.Teach the students how to write a letter.Step8.Write a letter (Show) 1. Show some expressions to the students. 2.Show the structure to the students.【思路点拨】设置写作这一任务的目的在于让学生将本节课所学知识进行整合、归纳并升华,真正体现了“在用中学,在学中用,学了就用”的教育理念,将总分总结构运用自如。Step9. Summary 1.Let the students speak out what they have learned this class. 2.Show the students some sayings about study.【思路点拨】充分体现学生的主体地位,让他们说出他们本节课的收货,老师寄语,将几句有关学习谚语编写成一篇文章,鼓励孩子们养成良好的学习习惯,爱学习,爱生活,永不放弃。Step10.Homework双基性作业:Write a letter to a pen pal to share your best learning habits with the structure you have learned this class.拓展性作业:Search the Internet to get more sayings about learning.Learn about how famous people succeeded and learn their good habits.
