Have yu ever wndered what it is like t be an astrnaut? They face many challenges in space. Weightlessness is bad fr human health. It can cause muscle and bne lss as well as visin (视觉) prblems. Csmic radiatin (宇宙辐射) can harm their DNA. S, we need t understand hw the human bdy changes in space. But researchers dn’t have a gd understanding f what actually happens t DNA in space. Studying telmeres (端粒), the “end-parts” f chrmsmes (染色体) that prtect the ends f the DNA, may help.
Researchers knw that telmeres get shrter as peple get lder. Stress, smking and unhealthy envirnments make telmeres shrter, t. The length f telmeres is cnnected t the risk f heart disease and cancer. This makes them imprtant t study fr human health.
In 2015, NASA did a study n the twin astrnauts Sctt and Mark Kelly. Sctt spent a year n the Internatinal Space Statin while Mark stayed n Earth. Researchers fund Sctt’s telmeres increased in length while in space. His telmeres then quickly shrtened when he returned t Earth. In fact, they were even shrter than befre he went int space. The study gave researchers valuable new infrmatin abut astrnaut health. T find ut if the same changes happen during a shrter trip, anther study was dne n fur astrnauts wh carried n a 3-day missin (任务). Their telmeres were lnger during spaceflight. But when they returned t Earth, their telmeres shrtened quickly. They slwly returned t near nrmal length abut 2 mnths later.
Bth studies shwed that space trips, even shrt nes, can change telmere length. Scientists think telmere length changes because f csmic radiatin expsure. Radiatin, which is everywhere in space, can harm DNA. Spending mre time in space als means mre expsure. The Internatinal Space Statin has prtectin in areas peple use ften. This helps prtect the astrnauts frm sme radiatin. But what if humans want t travel t r stay n ther planets smeday? We need a better methd t reduce radiatin harm.
Space is a dangerus envirnment. We dn’t knw a lt abut hw it can influence peple’s health fr a lng time, especially their DNA. The mre we knw, the better we will be able t keep ur astrnauts healthy. By learning mre abut changes like telmere length, scientists can find ways t prtect future space travellers. As space turism becmes mre cmmn, this knwledge will be key t keeping peple safe and healthy in space.
36. Which prblem may weightlessness bring t astrnauts in space?
A. Cancer.B. Bne lss.C. Heart disease.D. Hearing prblems.
37. Why is studying telmeres imprtant accrding t the passage?
A. Because it creates a healthy envirnment.
B. Because it helps reduce astrnauts’ stress.
C. Because it prtects astrnauts frm radiatin.
D. Because it shws hw DNA changes in space.
38. What can we learn frm the tw studies?
A. Sctt’s telmeres returned t near nrmal length finally.
B. The time f spaceflight decides telmere length changes.
C. All the astrnauts’ telmeres were lnger during spaceflight.
D. The twin astrnauts bth carried n a 1-year missin in space.
39. Hw des the writer shw the influence f space n human health?
A. By listing numbers.B. By prviding examples.
C. By giving instructins.D. By intrducing backgrunds.

The wrld’s ldest musical instruments are mre than 40,000 years ld. Fr thusands f years, humans have been making music fr pleasure and t express themselves.
Recently, there has been a rise in the use f artificial intelligence (AI) t create music. AI makes music by analyzing (分析) many different sngs, learning patterns and details, and then mixing pieces tgether in creative ways. Sme AI music has becme s ppular that it has been shared widely nline.
Hwever, sme peple think using AI t create music isn’t truly riginal (原创的) r creative because it makes sngs ut f ld music. What d yu think? Is AI bad fr creativity?
Yes—AI music isn’t creative.
Using AI might be cheaper than paying a musician. If cmpanies can use AI t prduce ppular music that makes lts f mney frm peple buying and listening t it, it culd put musicians ut f wrk. If musicians can’t earn mney frm music, there will be far fewer f them creating new sngs. Anyway, listening t music that was made by a cmputer isn’t the same experience as listening t human-made music. When musicians create sngs, they put real feelings and experiences int their wrk, which builds a deep cnnectin with listeners thrugh their music. Music prduced by AI isn’t truly riginal, as it simply takes pieces frm sngs that have already been published. Therefre, it cannt be cnsidered creative.
N—AI can help spark(激发) new ideas.
When peple turn n their radi r headphnes and a great new sng cmes n, it makes them feel gd. A catchy tune (曲调) brings peple tgether t sing and dance. If peple are enjying music, wh cares whether it was made by a human r a machine? Music makers already use cmputers, which help t perfect sund and mix different parts f a sng. Like cmputers, AI can als help spark ideas. It wn’t replace (取代) musicians but they can wrk with it. Building n music created by AI culd save time. It culd allw lts mre music t be prduced and it culd lead t new and special styles f music. AI culd create exciting tunes that humans culd never have dreamed f.
请根据短文内容和首字母提示,填写所缺单词,并将答案填写在答题卡标号为1—10的相应位置上。
