Researchers at the University f Edinburgh explred the relatinship between music and remembering a freign language. They fund that music can aid freign language learning. They tk 60 adults and divided them int three grups. Then they gave the grups three different types f “listen-and-repeat” learning cnditins. The first grup simply spke the wrds, the secnd spke them t a rhythm (节奏), and the third sang the wrds. All grups learned Hungarian (匈牙利语) wrds fr 15 minutes. Hungarian was chsen because it is unfamiliar t mst peple and unrelated t cmmn languages, making it a challenging new language t learn.
After the tests were ver, the singers came ut n tp. The peple wh learned these new Hungarian wrds by singing them shwed a higher verall perfrmance. They did the best in fur ut f five f the tests.
