      1. 学生能熟练掌握下列词汇及短语:chpsticks, cin, frk, bluse, silver, glass, cttn, steel, fair, grass, leaf, prduce, widely, prcess, pack,be knwn fr, be made f, be made frm
      2. 能掌握以下句型:
      1). —This frk lks nice. Is it made f gld?
      —Yes, and it was made in America.
      2). What is it made f/frm?
      3).China is famus fr tea, right?
      4).Where is tea prduced in China?
      5).What did yu see at the art and science fair?
      I saw …
      6).Fr example, Anxi and Hangzhu are widely knwn fr their tea.
      3. 能够掌握be made f/frm…, be made in…等make短语的用法和区别,能够用英语描述及询问物品的制作材料和出产地,正确理解被动语态的用法及句子结构。
      4. 能够听懂日常生活中有关日常生活用品、原材料和场地信息的对话,并学会提取所需要
      的关键信息,同时能运用正确的表达方式编写对话。
      5. 了解日常用品的制成材料,增加生活常识,养成良好的生活习惯。同时通过了解一些地方名产品或传统艺术品的制作过程以及制作材料,培养学生的民族自豪感和爱国
      主义精神。
      二、教学重难点
      重点:
      1. 掌握本单元出现的词汇、短语及目标语言。
      2. 运用be made f/frm…, be made in…等make短语描述及询问物品的制作材料和出产地。
      3)正确理解被动语态的用法及句子结构。
      难点:
      掌握be made f/frm…, be made in…等make短语的用法和区别,同时理解被动语态的用法及句子结构。使用目标语言谈论日常生活用品的制作材料和出产地。

      四、教学过程
      Step 1. Warming up :
      Lk at the pictures and have a talk. Present the sentence structure, using the pictures n the big screen:
      —What’s the glden medal made f?
      —It’s made f gld.
      —Is this table made f wd?
      —N, it isn’t. It’s made f glass.
      —Is Butter made frm meat?
      —N. It’s made frm milk.
      【设计意图】利用实物来导入课堂,贴合生活实际,学生有表达欲望,同时引出本单元的句型,为1a活动的展开作铺垫。
      Step 2 Pre-listening
      Wrk n 1a
      1.Let Ss read the things and materials in 1a. Discuss with their partners and match them with the materials. Mre than ne answer is pssible.
      2. Learn the new wrds: chpsticks, cin, frk, bluse, silver, glass, cttn, steel, grass, leaf
      3.Check the answers by asking Ss t make sentences using “be made f” structure.
      【设计意图】让学生将物品与材料进行搭配,并用be made f的句式表述出来,锻炼了学生的口语表达能力。
      Step 3 While-listening
      Wrk n 1b
      Tell Ss they will hear a cnversatin abut sme things and material. Listen and match the prducts with what they are made f and where they were made.
      1. Let ne student read the wrds in the bx, Play the recrding fr the Ss t listen.
      2. Ss try t listen and match the things with the material and here they were made.
      【设计意图】1b活动锻炼了学生的听力能力和抓取关键信息的能力。
      Step 4 Pst-listening
      Wrk n 1c
      Practice the cnversatin in 1a and make cnversatins using the infrmatin in 1b.
      1)What is/are this/these?
      2) What is/are --- made f/frm?
      3) Where was/were made?
      【设计意图】1c活动让学生将之前所学到的知识通过口语的方式表达出来,既锻炼了学生的口语,也对所学知识加强了巩固。
      Step 5 Wrk n 2a&2b
      Wrk n 2a:
      T: Let’s listen t anther cnversatin between Nick and Marcus. What are they talking abut? (First,Let ne students read the phrases in 2a.)
      1).Listen and check ( √ ) the main tpic f Nick and Marcus’ cnversatin.
      2). Play the recrding again t check the answers.
      Wrk n 2b:
      1). Let Ss read the questins in 2b. Make sure they understand the meaning f each questin and knw what t d.
      2).Play the recrding fr the Ss t answer the questins.

      1. Tell Ss t make a cnversatin using the infrmatin in 2a and 2b.

      B: It’s made f steel, glass, and plastic.
      2. Let Ss make their wn cnversatins.
      3. Practice their cnversatins in pairs.

      达的能力。

      1. Read the cnversatin and cmplete the blanks.

      1. What is it made f/frm? be made f/frm… 意为“由……制成的”;be made in…意为“在……制造的”;be made by…意为“由……制造”;be made int…意为“被制成……”。
      【辨析】be made f与be made frm
      be made f 指从原料到制成品只发生了形状变化,没有发生本质变化(属物理变化)。
      be made frm 指从原料到制成品发生质的变化,无法复原(属化学变化)。
      用恰当的介词填空。

      e.g. Suzhu is knwn fr its beautiful gardens.

      be knwn as意为“作为……而著名”
      be knwn fr意为“因……而著名”
      根据句意用be knwn as或be knwn fr的适当形式填空。
