The Battle f Gettysburg葛底斯堡 (1-3 July 1863) was a famus battle f the American Civil War. It invlved mre than 160,000 men and resulted in(导致) sme f the heaviest lsses f the war, n bth sides. The battle was a defeat(战败) fr the Suth, and is nw regarded by many as the turning pint f the civil war; indeed, the great slaughter(大屠杀) gave rise t dubt(引起怀疑) in sme quarters(地区) abut the wisdm f cntinuing the war.
