    Step 1: Pre- task Preparatin
    Sing a sng
    With the vide, students t sing the sng ‘Thunder’;
    Guessing game: What’s the weather like?
    T hide the mst f every picture, ask students t guess what the weather is like with the sentence pattern ‘Is it…?’ ‘Yes, it is. / N, it isn’t.’ and then t spell the wrd.
    Take the first picture as an example:
    S1: Is it snwy?
    T: N, it isn’t.
    S2: Is it rainy?
    T: Yes, it is. Can yu spell the wrd?
    S2: R-a-i-n-y, rainy.
    Ask and answer
    What can yu d when it’s windy?
    T elicit ‘I can fly a kite’When can we swim utside?
    With the key wrds given, students shuld try t rearrange them int a sentence: It’s ht and sunny. The water is warm.
    Step 2: While-task presentatin
    Activity 1:Backgrund infrmatin intrductin
    Present the text and ask several questins
    Q1: What’s this?

    Q2: Wh writes the letter?

    Activity 3: Read and finish the table
    In this prcess, the teacher shuld encurage students t underline the related infrmatin.
    Step 3: Pst-task assignment
    Task 1: Retell the stry
    Grup wrk: 4 students in a grup. With the infrmatin n the screen and blackbard, encurage students t retell in grups. Then invite several Ss t retell fr the whle class.
    Task 2: Can yu help Jhn? Write a letter t dad, telling him the weather in Beijing and the things yu can d here. (T fill in blanks)
