Why Are Peple f Different Clurs?All skin clurs cme frm melanin（黑色素）. Our bdy makes melanin t prtect ur skin frm the sun. Peple with mre melanin are darker and thse with less are lighter.Peple in ht areas develped（生长）mre melanin because dark skin helped prtect against the sun and skin cancer. In clder cuntries, peple develped lighter skin because they did nt face the same kind f pressure t prtect themselves frm the sun. If yur parents came frm sunny places, yu were brn with mre melanin and darker skin. If yur parents came frm less sunny places, yu were brn with less melanin and lighter skin.Put a bandage arund yur finger n a sunny day. Take it ff a few days later. Did that part f yur finger make any melanin? N! The bandage blcked the sun frm the skin. When sunlight hits yur skin, melanin cmes t prtect it, and gives yu a tan.
