Envirnmental jurnalist Adria Vasil has a message that might disturb yur shpping plans. Avid returning nline purchases, she urges, since the vast majrity are thrwn away r burned.

Shpping habits have changed in recent years, and the amunt f assciated waste has als explded. Over the past five years, returns by Canadians have increased by 95%. A huge part f the issue is a practice called "bracketing", where smene rders multiple sizes in rder t get the right ne and then ships back the nes that dn't fit. Brands(品牌) d nt want t deal with thse returns. They'd rather just get rid f them. Nr d they wish t dnate them because that culd "devalue" their brand.

But really, if we're being hnest, just start taking respnsibility fr ur shpping habits. Everything will leave a ftprint n the earth, s we need t reduce manufacturing demand. Buy nly what yu need and will use, and make the extra effrt t g t a stre and try smething n.

    A. Aviding nline shpping.B. Giving up returned gds.
    C. Refusing new purchases.D. Dnating secnd-hand prducts.
