I stretched ut(伸展) my arms.The next thing I knew was that I was hanging n t the edge f a hle in the ice by arms utstretched n the ice.Frm my shulders dwn I hung in icy water.I thught f the bttm f the pnd.I knew it wuld be black and awful dwn there,full f mud and maybe rtting creatures.
I tried t climb ut f the hle,but when I gt a knee n the ice,it brke like windw glass.Again and again I tried t get ut.Again and again the ice brke int pieces.The hle widened.I was wearing a cat f heavy material.As it became cmpletely wet,it dragged me dwn.I was tired f the struggle and rested with my arms stretched ut n the ice.
I lked at Harry n shre.He std rted t the spt.“I can’t get ut!” I screamed when I caught sme breath.
