When t Use Indirect Questins
When yu ask a direct questin, yu ask directly, “Where is the bus stp?”Direct questins are fine when yu are talking t yur friends, family members r peple yu knw well. But hw abut if yu are in a mre frmal(正式的) situatin, r if yu are asking smene yu're nt really clse t? What if yu are at a party r a wrk cnventin(会议)? These are situatins in which it's mre plite t use an indirect questin.

Indirect questins are questins with extra wrds and phrases(短语)t make yur questin sfter:

Can/Culd yu tell me…? “Can” is a little mre casual, while “culd” is mre plite.
When yu use these extra phrases, the rest f yur sentence will return t the nrmal wrd rder(顺序)f a declarative sentence(陈述句).
