    When Chelsie King, a drama teacher in Maryland, and her husband Jeremy, wh uses a wheelchair because f a brain tumr peratin, were expecting their first child, they faced a unique challenge: hw Jeremy culd safely take their baby fr a walk. Unable t find suitable wheelchair-adaptive strllers (婴儿车) nline, Chelsie apprached Matt Zigler, a teacher at her schl, Bullis Schl. Zigler, wh leads the schl’s creative technlgy lab, saw this as a chance fr his “Making fr Scial Gd” class t design a slutin.
    The students brainstrmed ideas and interviewed the Kings t better understand the requirements. “The hardest part f the prject was putting urselves in the shes f a persn with physical disabilities,” Zigler tld CNN. “T achieve a successful prject we had t use empathy (共情) and really make sure we were thinking abut everything a persn with Mr. King’s disabilities wuld be frced t cnsider.” They needed a design that was safe, easy t use, and wuld allw Jeremy t independently attach and detach (拆开) the strller frm his wheelchair. In Sewell, New Jersey, a fur-day camp prgram prepares incming freshmen at Washingtn Twnship High Schl. This past summer, 217 students jined in the camp.
    The pening day f the camp includes icebreaker activities and a treasure hunt that includes finding classrms. The camp is hused in the building where freshman curses are ffered, but students becme familiar with the entire schl.
