Listening t her father talk abut the husing crisis and need fr architects made an impressin n Lari. On a family visit t Lndn when she was 15, she applied t architecture schl at Oxfrd Brkes University. She laughs as she recalls her bravery.
    At age 83, Yasmeen Lari is still full f ideas abut zer-carbn designs, skills building and self-sustaining villages. “Architects can n lnger wrk fr just the ne percent,” she says. “That desn't allw them t serve humanity as much as they culd.”

Research led by the University f Leeds has fund that children d better at primary schl if their fathers regularly spend time with them n interactive engagement activities like reading, playing, telling stries, drawing and singing.
    Analysing primary schl test scres fr five- and seven-year-lds, the researchers used a representative sample f nearly 5,000 mther-father husehlds in England frm the Millenium Chrt Study.
    Accrding t the research, dads wh regularly drew, played and read with their three-year-lds helped their children d better at schl by age five. Dads being invlved at age five als helped imprve scres in seven-year-lds’ Key Stage Assessments.
    Dr Helen Nrman, wh led the research, said, “Mthers still tend t assume the primary care r rle and therefre tend t d the mst childcare, but if fathers enthusiastically engage in childcare t, it significantly increases the likelihd f children getting better grades in primary schl. This is why encuraging and supprting fathers t share childcare with the mther, frm an early stage in the child's life, is critical.”

    There were different effects when mums and dads tk part in the same activities—the data shwed that mums had mre f an impact n yung children's emtinal and scial behavirs than educatinal achievement.
