It lked like a fun place t live in. I didn’t knw why these adults frwned at it r a by wh lived there. But I knew that feeling being hurt with unkind wrds.
S I std ut f my seat and put the mney int the machine t pay fr the by’s ticket. The driver lked at me and his lk tld me t g back t my seat. I didn’t lk at anybdy. When I sat dwn, I heard a whisper frm the seat behind me. “Dn’t expect him t be thankful.” That’s nt why I did it. I wasn’t even thinking that. Didn’t they knw hw it felt t have empty pckets? My family used t have n mney all the time till my father gt a new jb.
Just then, a different vice came frm behind me as well. “We shuldn’t stp kindness. We shuld lk at thse arund us with kindness. I dn’t think he’s such a persn.” After a shrt silence, everyne whispered their agreement. After I gt ff at my stp, I didn’t think abut it anymre.
