    (1) It was the day f the big crss-cuntry run. Students frm seven different primary schls in and arund the small twn .. .
    (2 ) He was small fr ten years ld.
    (3 ) After making sure that David culd run if he wanted, ... his small bdy rcking frm side t side as he swung his feet frward.
    (4 ) He always participated t the best f his ability in whatever they were ding. David had nt missed a single practice , and althugh he always finished his run lng after the ther children, he did always finish.(这是大卫最令人敬佩的品质。
    (5)... was familiar with the challenges David faced and was prud f his strng determinatin.(此处是“我”能够成功鼓励大卫参加越野跑的基础。“我”是特殊教育老师,有经验,因此续写第一段时可以参照此句。)
    2.掌握原文的语言特色
    读后续写的实质是根据所提供的原文内容,写出主旨一致、逻辑顺畅、语言风格一致的故事结尾。因此,续写时除了考虑故事的主题思想、关注逻辑之外,还要高度关注续写部分和原文语言风格的一致性。主要从主要人物、时态、原文中的高级句式三个方面考虑。
    3.定“两条”设“四点”主题升华
    “两条”指情节线( Plt line )、情感线( Emtin line)。在读后续写题型中,续写部分往往是故事的高潮。在写的过程中第一条情节线是出现问题之后先尝试,尝试未果失败之后会出现第二条情节线是在失败 有冲突矛盾的基础之上会继续解决这个问题在构思过程中,合理、有效的方法是结合段首语推理情节,以及在这些情节发生的过程中伴随怎样的情感。在这个过程中我们会涉及到三种冲突(与环境的冲突 与自己的冲突 与第二主人公的冲突)在这这个过程中会有一些心理 环境 情绪 动作描写,这样一添加整个过程就完整了在写作过程中尤其要关注“四点”:
    第一点:位于续写第一段段首, 流畅衔接前面的记叙文和第一段段首语;
    第二点:位于续写第一段段尾, 流畅衔接第二段段首语;
    第三点:位于续写第二段段首,续写衔接第二段段首语;
    第四点:文章结尾升华,给予读者正能量,揭示和强调剧情的寓意。
    这“四点”决定了续写故事的发展方向。按照写作要求的不同侧重方向,将这四点划分为段首三点和结尾一点。段首三点指与段首句相关的三个点,即紧接两段段首句之后的两个点和第一段结尾的一个点。通过分析这三点可以保证整体故事的连贯性。第一点要限定剧情走向,同时为下文的展开留出足够的写作空间;第二点要达成两段之间的衔接,过渡不能突兀;第三点不仅要衔接第二段开头语,还要收束剧情,为结尾作铺垫。在创作过程中,学生要培养衔接意识,关注原文的隐含信息。

    There are t many treasures in life we take fr granted, the wrth f which we dn’t fully realize until they’re pinted ut t us in sme unexpected way. S it was with Mama’s minestrne sup (意大利浓菜汤).
    There was n recipe fr her minestrne sup. Fr ur large immigrant family, Mama’s sup guaranteed we wuld never g hungry. It was a symbl f security. Its recipe was created spntaneusly (非计划安排地) frm what was in the kitchen. And we culd judge the state f ur family ecnmy by its cntents. A hearty sup with tmates, pasta, beans, carrts, celery, nin, crn and meat indicated things were ging well. A water y sup suggested hard times.
    At ne time, hwever, Mama’s sup pt became a surce f embarrassment t me, fr I feared it wuld cst me a new friend I had made at schl. Sl was a thin, dark-haired by, and an unusual pal fr me because his father was a dctr and they lived in the best part f twn. Often Sl invited me t his hme fr dinner. Mrever, the atmsphere matched the fd. Everything was s frmal. Sl’s mther and father were plite, but cnversatin arund the table was subdued (克制的). And n ne hugged! In ur family, warm hugs were a cnstant and if yu didn’t kiss yur mther, she demanded: “What’s the matter, yu sick?” But at that time in my life, all this was an embarrassment.
