Laurence Kim Peek was brn in Salt Lake City,
Utah, n Nvember 11, 1951. It was clear frm an early age that he was nt like
ther children. A medical scan（扫描） shwed that the tw halves f his brain
were nt cnnected in the usual way. As a result, Laurence develped an amazing

Can memry be imprved? Luckily, hundreds f studies in the past 50 years have
already given us a definite answer a healthy lifestyle keeps yur brain memry
sharp. First f all, it is necessary t have a healthy diet. Eating mre fd
rich in Vitamin B and Vitamin E, such as vegetables and lean meat, helps yu
have a better memry. Ding exercise can keep yur brain alive t. Prper
exercise prvides much needed xygen fr the brain. Running, riding a bike swimming
and even walking tw r three times a week are helpful. Mrever, getting

Memry
skills help yu remember things better. The fllwing three are the mst widely
used. Chunking is a way f remembering a piece f infrmatin by cutting it
int smaller nes. Fr example, t memrize a ten-digit telephne number 2127983630,
yu can divide the digits int three grups: firstly 212, then 798, and lastly
3630. This methd is far mre effective（有效的） than remembering a string
f 10 digits. Organizatin means rganizing infrmatin int grups f the same
kind.
Fr
example, trees, grass and flwers are plants; tigers, pandas, hrses and cws
are animals. Imagery is remembering newly learnt infrmatin by using yur imaginatin
